On the CHAMPIE/CHAMPIGNY website page, it says "If you are a Champie, you are descended from Elizabeth Mary Shellenberger, who married Charles Champie in 1859." Are the Shellenbergers related to Ballingers? Also, I am married to a Stephen F. Austin family descendant and the Bryan family is prominent in that line. Do the Shellenbergers have Bryan ancestors also? I know that the Ballinger lineage links with the Austin line along the way. Charles Champie was my great-grandfather; his son, Sam Houston Champie, was my grandfather. Thanks!
